 If you love snakes you will not like this...Cora hates snakes and goes after them with a vengence.  It's shake, they rattle and roll!  Cora takes care of business.

Happy Birthday, Lady

 Belle's little grand puppy, Shinn's Lady To The Max, turned 12 this month.   She lives in Virginia with the David Shinn family.  She is special--not because of her cock ear, smooth bark on the tree, excellent nose, eyes like a hawk!  No none of those, Lady is special because she has the same big heart that her grandmother, Belle Starr had!

Mr. and Mrs. Renfroe,

Hope all is well and you have been spared from all of this years storms, flooding, and tornadoes.

Attached are a few pictures we took of Lady today - celebrating her 12th birthday this year!!  

We are still in Virginia and the grays continue to get her undivided attention.  She is doing great - still learning tricks and playful as ever!

Catalpa Tree From Wayne Hawkins

 We call our Catalpa Tree -- Wayne Hawkins -- because he gave it to us in the pot above.  We babied it for 6 months or so before we sat it out in the yard.  It has thrived and reminds us of our friend from Georgia.

Yard Treeing

I would rather not kill the squirrels here in Galla Meadow but Tie would tree until it killed him so after him treeing this squirrel all one day, the next morning I put a period on the sentence for him.

Ragin' Riley

I am always uplifted when I hear of one of my Galla Feists and even more elated when the message has a picture.  This is one of my Feists who went to 'Bama!  The family calls her Riley and I always smile and think she is living the "life of rawleigh".  She gets to run loose on the family farm and starts her day treeing squirrels in the woods.  She has a great family with children and that makes a Feist's life more complete as Galla Feist love kids.

Riley has a little problem chasing cars but she was hit and in a cast when she was young and that broke that bad habit.  She is a "loving spoonful", indeed.  Here is the email that arrived with her photos and her tailgate of bushy tails!

So happy to see you are having more pups.  Hope ya'll are doing great!  We love our Riley!!! Spoiled rotten but loves to chase squirrels! First thing she does every morning, starts her stalk, creeping out of the garage to the edge of the woods looking and listening...hilarious! She'll be 4 in August. Best dog ever!!  Picture is our last hunt of the season.  Having a blast!  Best wishes.
