Tweek~ Far Out Fly Ball Feist

Tweek is what we call a Kemmer Feist. Her
ancestors go back to the Kemmer Feist that
Robert Kemmer raised. She also has Old
Mountain Feist blood in her veins. We could
name her ancestors 10 to 15 generations back.

Her mother's name is Kate Freeman. We gave
Kate to our friend Dennis Freeman, who did
heat and air conditioning work with Galla Creek
Arky. Dennis had a heart condition and died
before he reached the age of 50. His widow gave
Kate back to us. She is owned by a nurse at
Morrilton, AR now. We raised a litter of pups
from Kate. We sold a male to the nurse. The
yard man left the chain link gate open and her
Feist was ran over. She came back wanting the
same line. The only one we had was Kate Freeman,
but we could see that Kate would be loved and cared
for like a queen and we sold Kate to her. She had the
litter of pups that included Tweet! Tweet went north
to live and chase the fly ball. She is good at it too!

We are proud of all our Feists and are so glad to have
folks that will still share their lives with us. Kate is
a nationally recognized fly baller! When she runs her
master says "WHERE'S THAT SQUIRREL?" and she
takes off. In these photos she is searching for an old
varmit in the wood pile. You can tell she is persistent!

Hello Renfroes!
Here is just a little hello from your Most Northern Feist, Tweek!
Tweek just turned 3 this year and she is ALL that I could have

ever wanted in a “daughter”!Tweek has grown into a Far-Out
Flyball dog and is now ranked as the #3 Treeing Feist playing
Flyball in the Nation (but the #2 is actually a mix that has been
called a Feist so we don’t really count her). Her fastest time
so far is 5.34 seconds but I know she’ll speed up. She has stayed
a tidy size; 13.5 inches at the withers and has a Super Wonderful
personality. She tries in earnest to get the neighborhood squirrels.
In fact, when we are racing, all I have to say is “Where’s the Squirrel?!”
and she gets super fired up!

Any hoo here are some recent pics of our trek to my Uncles home
in Western Wisconsin. Tweek was non-stop running around all day.
Thank you again for bringing such a wonderful girl into the world!
Take Care – I visit your website often so I’m always excited to see

new puppies!
Amy and Tweek Tweek!

She must have had her ears trimed to make them stand up like that. But she is a very beautiful feist.

Hi Wayne,
Amy, Tweek's Owner here. Actually her ears were never trimmed (I'm a vet tech in my spare time and I'm not a believer in ear cropping)- swear. We are just as amazed as you are that they stand the way that they do. When she's tired they will flop a bit but awake they are always on point. And boy can she hear with those bat wings. Perhaps they are why we get such good reception on our TV!

LOL
I would have not known if you had told me. I would have sworn that they had been trimed.
She is a fine looking feist, does she tree at all ? or spend all her energy catching those fly balls ?
By the way I love her ears

Tweek Loves Squirrels and will tree them any chance she gets. She is the silent stalker; crouches and scans for the squirrels. When she spots them she is off like a rocket (almost caught a few on the ground). When she has them treed she has this special bark that you all most know from your own experience. It is so shrill and ear piercing that You Know she wants that squirrel. Funny thing is that she is really not good on a leash. Not that she'll run off, but she walks a few feet and then stops to listen. Walks a few more feet and stops to listen.
Truly she is amazing and fast!
