This is Remington and Sparky when they were just pups.
Steve Roark owns Remington~out of Nell/Nelson. He bought
him from the guy we sold Rem to as a pup. He emailed us
yesterday about old Remington....here is what he says:
Got up this morning and Remington was treed in woods, 2
housecats, came in at lunch and he was treed in thewoods
on a huge den tree, a little cooler weather and he will
be ready to go out on his own hunting.

Larry, I turned Remington out about 2 weeks ago and he has stayed treed. He has treed a coon, the wife's cats(don't tell her), and several squirrels. He has treed close to the house in the night and make me get up and go to the door just to listen to him tree. He has more drive and energy than any 3 dogs. He loves to hunt. I have road hunted him in front of the 4 wheeler for 4-5 miles and he will still go 15-18mph up front of me. When the leaves start falling and it gets cooler he will really turn it on. He stays out hours at a time in the woods in 90 degree heat. He needs 3-4 weeks of hard hunting and some meat in his mouth. He is out of Baby Face Nelson and Nell.
Hello Steve
Remington was a fine looking pup I would love to see waht he looks like now. I'm wandering how the other pups from the Sparky/Amos cross are doing ? Have you shown them any squirrels or hides? I was just wandering if they were as squirrel crazy as Layla.
Wayne
Wayne, everybody I have talked to love these pups. My barber has a male that a hates a coon. I saw him attack a coon 3 times his size and come back for more. I saw him tree and they won't be 3 months until this week. I have not shown mine anything but love her actions. I have been hiding treats for her to find using her nose. She will make it. All tell me how they are gritty! It is a good cross.
I had to put Rem up for a while. Let him rest a few days and he will go again. It is supposed to cool off at the end of the week. It should make for some better hunting.
I gave Remington 3 days rest, turned him out this afternoon and he had a squirrel treed in just a matter of minutes in the woods behind the house.
