That is a neat idea. I made me one to feed the coon family in my front yard. I used a 5 gallon bucket and a peice of 3/4"pipe in the side of the bucket at the bottom. You can tie the bucket to the tree right above a limb and the coons will reach into the pipe and get the food. I usually put cheap dog food in mine but they will eat corn to.

We are keeping them around so if there are not squirrels...we can tree them and the possums too.

Seems to me that it needs more holes as the coon cannot reach that far into the tire. Tell us how it works out.
