Brotherly Love?
We got our pups from Troy and Sherry Vance. The top one is Zippo, the female and below is Zeppelin, the male. Zepp was sold but the buyer decided he did not have room for another dog so Troy let us have first chance at him and we jumped on it. Isn't he a beauty. We are going to use the call name Sarge and hope to raise and train him and he will be our next stud dog. His parents are Jack and Zipper. Zipper is out of Skip and Pete and Jack is from our Spook and Shooter. Skip is a full littermate sister to Spook!
Betty said I had to build the two pups a porch so here it is. I do believe this is called brother/sister love! They fight all the time!
Thanks to Troy and Sherry Vance!!

Tonight I used Goldie to hill up a bed for our tomatoes. We bought them this weekend and plan to put them in the ground soon. We will use a little chicken litter in the planting.

Sam, Kate, & Mollie
The above pup is Kate out of Chaney and Tie. If you have a deposit on a female and I could not get you one. I am going to sell Kate and keep Mollie. I am getting a female from Troy Vance, Zippo who I will raise with Mollie. Both Chaney and Tie are great squirrel dogs. Chaney is out of Opal and Shooter. Tie out of Dobs and Shooter. The male pup went to the Malone's of LA. Sam looked a lot like Opal, his grandmother!

When the season ends many Feist dogs turn to yard treeing to fill the void of the hunt. Here is Buster (Zack Kraft's Feist) yard treeing! Buster is Cora's littermate and we posted her yard treeing a few days ago.

Squirrel In Galla Meadow
A brave squirrel ventured into Galla Meadow today. I took this video and also shot at with my 22 trying to make him jump. My video is a little jumpy, but we enjoyed the squirrel's visit. I put CoraVette and her dad, Tie, up for the afternoon so Mr. Squirrel could make a get a way!

Zoey and Zeke Pups
Heath Thomas emailed that Zoey had her first litter of pups. She was in the pen with Zeke and Heath thought he was too young to sire pups...but look what happened. Wow, they are so pretty. Zoey is out of Dobs...that is where that Dark pup comes in. Shooter pulls in the red color as his father Hawk was reddish. If anyone is south LA is looking for a pup, email us and we will give you Heath's contact info. Zeke is out of Carrie Nation and Tie.

Patch ~ Spud Pups
These two pictures are of Collin Rutland swinging in the woods and enjoying a big catch. The two pictures remind me of the "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. "The Rutlands are getting one of the Patch ~ Spud pups unless they want to wait until late fall for their male Feist!
Patch's 3 male pups will go Hannah Jester, Collin Rutland, and Jerry Dean. Hannah gets to pick the one she prefers. I think the Rutlands will rather have the smaller male. Jerry Dean said he would like a larger male if this is possible. You can see the one male is larger than the other pups. They will be named Isaac (Ike), Isaiah (Isy), and Ishmael (Ish). Marc Rutland has one of our pus named Hagar and the pup he gets will be called Ish!Monday, April 09, 2012
MarshMellow
MarshMellow is a daughter of Daisy and Daisy is from Spook and Max. Wade Baswell owns this fine little Feist. Here is his email which came with the photo!
I been taking Marshmellow out several times a week getting her on these young spring time squirrels. I usually never go this time a year cause of ticks and skeeters but she's been good to me so I figured I'd return the favor, she's loving all the tree time she's getting.
Thanks Larry,
Wade

Eli Treeing
Got an email from Connecticut with photos of Eli! So good to see him. Here is his email. The photos are small so we are hoping he will resend them larger. Even if he doesn't it is good to see Eli treeing! Eli is a half brother to Spud!
Hi Larry & Betty thought I would send a couple pics of Eli (Sandy X Max) treeing on a den tree this morning. We had a terrible squirrel season this year in CT,the weather was mild but there were no nuts. The hunting season went out at the end of February but I still try and run Eli,these dens are all that we are finding.Take care and Happy Easter-Al Larson

Scout
Scout is living the good life! Mike Joyner owns Scout. Lee Moore trained Scout and now Mike is lucky enough to own him. Scout is out of our Radio flyer and a female owned by Wayne Hawkins of GA. His female is out of Opal and Spud!
Mike has been in the hospital and we surely hope he is feeling better.
Patch's three pups are doing great. I will have some breeding fee pups to supplement my pup orders, but it will not be enough. If you were really wanting a pup from Dobs or Opal...I hope you will wait 'til fall and get one then.
