Wright's Sugar

Sugar is out of Tia and our Radio
Flyer. Dean and Barb Wright praise
her abilities. Dean sent this email
about Sugar...
April 28, 2008
I got rained out from work today and took
Sugar out. I was hunting a woods where I
lost my wallet in October. Sugar got in there
and got treed and stayed. I took her off and
went on she was gone about 5 minutes. When she
checked back guess what she had in her mouth,
my wallet, money and all. She has all the tools
to make a TOP DOG she is really getting impressive
for her age. I'm real excited about her.
Dean

Dean said his wallet had $206 dollars in it and
Barb had searched for it for about 4 hours when
he lost it. Sugar sure is a special Feist! I can
only imagine what the pups from Floyd and Sugar will
be like~

Wayne's New Toy

Every man that loves a good dog...
should enjoy a good tractor. This
one belongs to Wayne Hawkins of
Georgia and it does make my mouth
water wanting a new one. My big
tractor has been with me since
1985..a big blue Ford. I think
this one would fit me just right.

Sadie Bell

Sadie is out of Opal and Spud. She is
a sister to Olive Oyl and Babe Oyl.
We called her Castor...but I admit it
was not a very good name. Lee Moore
changed her name to Sadie. If you look
down the blog to a few days ago you
can see Ollie and how much they look
alike. I surely hope Lee loves Sadie
like we do Ollie. Also, thanks to
Heather Moore for sending the pictures
for Lee!

Spoiling Ollie

Ollie is out of Spud and Opal and she is
a favorite of ours. Saturday was a nice
day and we let her run out all day. She
begged to be a house dog, have us take
her hunting or even fishing.

Mt. Mandy

This is All Cranked Up's mother, Lady.
Her paper name is Mt. Mandy. I have
heard that she is no longer with us.
She came from Nogo Arkansas like Nell.
And is what I call a Nogo Feist. She
goes back to Old Rowdy on one side of
her pedigree. She was a Sq. Champion.

Patsy

This is from 2004. Patsy is a pup
out of Bell and Max. I sold Patsy
to a guy in S.Carolina named Thao.
He was a deputy sheriff there. Patsy
did not tree these squirrels. She was
checking them out after we returned
from a hunt. The other hunter is
Frank Branch of Appleton, Ar.

Secret

A secret about me that you may not know...
is I love tractors about as much as I
love squirrel dogs. Now I own over half
a dozen tractors, but at times I have
owned even more. My favorite is Farmall
Cubs.

Clyde Barrow

Recently, we were able to pull images
off an old computer we had disgarded.
This says July 2004. The white pup is
Clyde Barrow. He is a litter mate to
Bonnie Sue Parker. We sold him to a family
that lived near the coast in Texas. We
have never heard from them and the name
is lost to us. The young pup with Clyde
is little Cork. Cork is owned by Troy
Vance of Hawkins Texas. We now have 1000s
of new photos to post of Galla Creek dogs
taken in 2004 and early 2005. Hope you don't
get tired to seeing them.

Clyde is out of Spook and Max. The litter
included: Bugsy Seigel, Baby Face Nelson,
Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie Sue and Clyde
Barrow. Clyde was or first pick to keep
of the litter but soon our favorite was
Nelson. I am sure the Wright's are glad
we did not pick Floyd to keep.

Wild Turkeys

We have more wild turkeys and
deer on Galla Creek now than
squirrels. I have been seeing
a gray squirrel and a fox squirrel
near my tire feeder.

Seattle Slew

Julian sent more photos of Slew. Jean Shrewsbury
of Virginia has purchased Slew. She will be pleased
with Slew I know. Slew has a good temperment and
is a hunting dog at heart.
Here is a little pedigree for Slew
Mother: All Cranked Up
Father: Galla Creek Max
Gmother: Frank Branch's Mandy--Sq. Champion
Gfather Galla Creek Romeo
Gmother: Kloss' Lady (Gerald Johnston Feist from
Berryville, AR, Old Arkansas Mt. Feist)
Gfather STeve McAndrews Otis
Steve sold Otis to a Mr. Brown in Mo. for $4000
(I have heard different huge amts) and he was
stolen from Brown's yard and never heard from
again.

We can go back many more generations on Slew.
She goes back to Old Rowdy through Romey and
Branch's Mandy. I hope she will have a home
in Virginia the rest of her days.
