Tommy Collins" Dog Kennel
Tommy Collins of Texas sent more photos
of his Dog Kennel. He has his two females,
Annie and Mandy in this set up. Some of his
good ideas include a treated lumber shed type
house with a good roof and a igloo house inside.
He keeps the dog food in the locked cooler in
the house. The pen has a double door before
you actually get in the pen...I like this.
The taller dog outside the pen is
Galla Creek Dan, out of Nogo Nell and Romeo.
Dan is from the last litter of pups that Romey
had before the big German Shepards killed him.
Dan is already a finished squirrel dog, Tommy
said and he is not even a year old.

Fred Allen
Every blade in the field
Every leaf in the forest
Lays down its life
In its season
As beautifully as it was
Taken up.
God grant that I may fish
Until my dying day,
And when it comes to
My last cast
I then most humbly pray,
When in the Lord's
Soft landing net
I'm peacefully asleep,
That in HIS mercy
I be judged
As good enough to keep.
Melissa Windham sent this rememberance
of Fred Allen. Life is fragile so
my advice is make the most of today!
You may not have tomorrow.

Whoa Bench
These are photos of Tim Taylor's whoa bench where
he has trained Mister to respond to these commands:
come, sit, down, fetch and tree. I have a little
Feist that does not respond very well to any command
and I am thinking of making me a whoa bench. He says
Mister is smart and caught on fast. Thanks Tim for
sharing the Whoa Bench with us!

Tim Taylor's Mister
Tim Taylor of Alabama owns Mister--out of Jim E Sue
and Spud. He has trained Mister on a whoa bench...which
we are hoping he will send a photo of!
He says--Still very satisfied with Mister. Here are some updated pics of him doing his thing. I think he is doing really well for him to be 4 months old. Table training on a fiest works real good...I've trained many bird dogs on a table, but never a fiest. He knows whoa on a tree, come and left and right by hand signals. He is very smart.

How are they Related!
This is Galla Creek Olive Oyl and Galla Creek Randi.
How are they related?
First, they are sisters daughters of Spud!
Second, Ollie's mother (Opal) and Randi's
mother (Lillie) are related. Opal is a
daughter of Radio. Lillie is a daughter
of Max. Radio is Max's uncle. So Ollie
is a great Aunt to Randi. Opal's mother
Spook is out of Dummy. Dummy is a full
sister to Radio. So I think Opal is her
own Aunt!!! Randi's motehr Lillie is out
of Max who is out of Otis...who is a full
sister to Dummy and Radio!Man, it is confusing
...but I know this for sure...they are both keepers
and have similar traits!

Oh, Happy Day!
I have not been able to post about this on
the Galla Feist Blog, but Dobs has been lost
in the Ouachitas for a week. I lost her a week
ago today. I went back over and searched several
times for hours and hours. I know that this is
a small window into the feeling our Father in heaven
has when we are lost to him. Yesterday, a family
riding four wheelers in the National Forest found
Dobs. They called and I am going over to get her
today. Maybe this is a window to how our Father
feels when we cry out to be saved!
I know for sure I am happy and want to give
thanks for this blessing I have received!

Patsy and Hannah Montana
These two pups, Hannah (Miley Ray) and Patsy Montana are out of
Rossi (Rossi is out of Nogo Nell and Nelson) and Galla Creek Amos
Moses! I wanted to take a picture of them so I turned them out
of the pen. I took about 30 pictures and could not get one of them
with their noses off the ground. The nose on the ground comes
from Nogo Nell. I finally got a picture picture of Patsy when
she laid down to rest (without her nose down). Never did get
a good photo of Miley Ray. These two pups came from Mike Joyner
in LA. Jean Shewsberry asked to see them. They are very pretty.
Patsy is smaller than Miley Ray!
