Wayne Hawkins came to Galla Creek to go hunting
and let Hard Tack see his birth place again. I enjoyed
the fellowship not just the squirrel hunt and hope he
enjoyed his stay.

Galla Creek Spud and Ohio Lia

Hunting on Christmas Eve
We are going on a little squirrel hunt
today...taking Spud, Ohio Lia, Brown
Sugar and one more dog. I never hunt
a 'pack' of dogs together. Two is
all I like to hunt at a time. I
like to take four dogs and hunt
two and then rotate them. My picture
today is from Wayne Hawkins and is of
his friend, Jerry, and the small mouth
bass they caught. I am dreaming a little
today of summer and fishing Galla Lake.
Merry Christmas to all my Feist Friends!
I hope this next year is a good one for
all of us.

Jessie
Fred Allen in OK sent a new photo of
Jessie-out of Carolina Crossfire and
Spud. She's a looker. Fred wants another
pup just like her..here is his part of his
email to us!
Hello Larry and Family
Just a note to wish you and the family a very
Merry Christmas and a HappyHealthy New Year.
Jessie is growing like a weed and doing just
great. She is a live wire that loves to run
and play. When I turn the pointers out in the
evenings to run, Jessie tries to keep up but
she is a little short in the legs. Ha! I have
a squirrel in the freezer that I thaw out and
let Jessietrail it in the backyard. She will
try to chew the tail off of it when she
finds it. Jessie also gives our outside cat
fits at times, she got a little too close a
couple of times and the cat (Whiskey) swatted
her nose for her.I read on your website that
you were going to have some spring litters. I'm
thinking that I would like to get another female
from Carolina Crossfire ifit works out that she
has enough females. Jessie will need a buddy to help
corral these Fox squirrels.

Miss Pitty Pat's Brother & Sister
Here are Miss Prissy and Mister Wilkes.
We will have them until next Saturday.
Wilkes is going to LA and Prissy to
Kansas. Wilkes has a Pontiac emblem
on his head and maybe we should have
named him Turbo. Jim E had one more
pup but I did not get a good photo of
him before Danny Huffmaster picked him
up. He was black with white trim. We
called him Rhett Butler. Butler is at
Mamouth Springs, AR.

Miss Pitty Pat
Jim E Sue's pups are leaving Galla Creek.
This one is Miss Pitty Pat. She is a
pup out of Jim E and Spud. Jimmy South
bought her but Katie came to pick her
up...I think Katie is going to claim her!
The other pups out of the litter are:
Butler, Wilkes and Miss Prissy. We named
them after characters in Gone with the Wind!
Jim E Sue is a half sister of Belle Starr.
She was raised by Mike Dempsey who has
sinced passed away. Jim E Sue's father is Grand
Sq. Champ Allar's Fred and her Grandfather
is Old Langford's Rowdy!

Dean's Whelping Box!
Rain, rain, rain...is what weather
we are having. Dean bought this
whelping box and I would like to
build one similar. I will have to
find a place to buy that coated
wire. My whelping pens have
served their purpose well...but they are
cold, hard to keep clean, and ugly. I want
to build some new ones more like this one
Dean Wright has bought.

Galla Feist Up North!
Amy Sawdoski sent a new photo of Tweek
with the message that she would like
another Feist. Having a Feist does
that to you ...makes you want another
one. We will hope that Carolina and
Spud will have a small male next litter
and he can move up to Minnesota with
Tweek. Tweek is a fly ball performer
and we are proud she came from out
Kennel.
Here is Amy's message:
Hello Larry,
Amy, Tweek’s owner here. Well, as you
know I just absolutely love Tweek
(Kate Freeman x Max). Tweek is 3.5
years old and doing just great. I’m
thinking that I may get another pup
from you in 2008. What I want tho,
is another small one like Tweek.
Tweek measures 12-13 inches at the
withers. I know that someone mentioned
that Feists on the smaller size aren’t
really bred for anymore. Do you ever
produce pups that small anymore? Tweek
is fixed, so she won’t be having any puppies.
I’m thinking about a male and I just love
Spud. I’d especially love to get a pup with
similar marking as Spud. What do you think?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Amy and Tweek!
Well, we think....it would be a great cross!
Spud is out of Max and a pup of his would
really go good with Tweek!
