Blowed Away
Lots of Arkansas folks lost their homes last night. Several lost their lives. We were lucky that this missed us. We pray for the less fortunate.

Dobs Trees From Her Pen
Dobs was barking up a storm and I went back to her big pen. She had a possum treed. She sure enjoyed the shoot!

Planted Beans Today
We planted beans today and were going to put out more but a storm came in and we will have to wait until the soil dries a little before we can do more.

Nosey Dog
Sissie is the snoopiest, nosiest dog I have ever owned. She constantly checks out what anyone is doing. Sometimes it is down right irritating. She is right in your pocket where ever you go.

Black and White Squirrel
This black and white squirrel was spotted in San Jose, CA near a office building. It has blue eyes. It is actually what is called a pie bald. If it lived in the wild, it would not have lived this long probably because it has no camo to nature.

Matt Parker And Dan
We saw on Facebook that our friend, Matt Parker has been very very ill. We don't know all the particulars and don't want to pry! We just hope that Matt will be all well soon and back to hunting with Ole Dan! Below Matt and his Mom just a few days before he came home from the Hospital.
Matt, if you see this, know we are pulling for you!

Squirrels From Washington State
Betty's sister in the State of Washington sent us pictures of the squirrels out west. I would think it is a gray squirrel, but looks a little larger than the one in Arkansas.
The end!

He Has Risen
I went to the Choctaw Nation and bought a Cub a couple of weeks back. The owner was the nephew of J. C. Potter. Someone wanted it up at Parthenon, Ar. Well, last summer I had tried to buy this 53 model from an 84 year old gentleman who lives in the Cherokee Nation. I went to get it a week ago today. The Cub had not run since 2001 so buying it was a gamble. Today I worked on it in the shade of the shop. Got it running in only a day. I set the points and bought a coil. But right away I noticed it had zero oil pressure. If I had let it run long, it would have ruined the motor. There was a vacuum in the oil pump.
I rigged a tube with a syringe attached. I poured oil into the tube. The oil went into the pump. I had drained and replaced the oil and the oil near the filter was thick. Well, it only took an hour or so and it going and you can see the oil pressure gauge is off zero! In the first video, you can see the tractor turn over and the tube bubble. I was really happy as it was pumping the oil! After those 13 years of sitting, it still sounds good. The gentleman had moved to OK from Kentucky (I think it was used to work tobacco) and brought the tractor, but after he unloaded it in OK it never started again. I was lucky that the guy did not get it going because it would have ruined the motor since it was not moving the oil!
This video shows the rigged up tube to put the oil in!
Here is the 53 Cub clicking!

Not Lonesome Too Long
I bought a cub last week from J. C. Potter's nephew but was talked out of it after having it only a day. So I drove back to the Cherokee Nation and bought this one from an 84 year old tobacco farmer. I think I will restore it and don't think I will be talked out of it as quickly as that last one. This one is a '53 model and has not been started since 2001 when Ernie moved from Kentucky to OK. Mrs. Ernie cried when I pulled away with it. It has lots of equipment and I am so proud of it. Not lonesome anymore! Do you think I will get it running this week, Wayne Hawkins?

Style Of Treeing
Surround and conquer! Roxy trees by running around and around the tree occasionally moving in toward the tree. Notice Buster mostly stands on the tree. It is all about their style of treeing. I had a little Feist once that treed just like Roxy. Her name was Cherokee Circles and she was an awesome little Feist squirrel dog. I hope Zack Kraft appreciates Roxy's style as I love it!

Boone County
My niece took this picture just outside her back door. Deer are not even very leery of humans these days. Glad my dogs run them out of the yard and garden. They are huge pests!
