Wild Bill (Slick&Sandy) is the sire and Bell(Max&Sandy) is the dam. I have two males&three females. I have great expectations for these pups. We killed 192 squirrels over Bill&Bell walk hunting last winter!

ZacK and Zoey
Heath Thomas (LA) sent us pictures of Zack (Lia and Ole Dan) and Zoey (Dobs and Shooter). We called Zack Floyd. Heath said Zoey was treeing and doing great and he bought Zack so he could have a pair and maybe even raise a litter of pups when Zack got about 2 years old. Zack is lemon with white trim and Zoey is white with lemon trim.

Dan
Tony sent an update and photos of Dan. Thanks, so much for sharing his progress with us. Dan is out of Lia and Parker's Ole Dan! The sire, Dan, goes back to Rowdy and other dogs from our Kennel. Lia is from Nell and Floyd.
Here's Tony's update:
Dear Larry and Betty,
Hi, I thought I would send you an update and pictures of Dan. I took him for his second shot last week. He weighed 6.2 pounds. He is really growing fast. He stays indoors so the extreme heat we have had lately has not stressed him. We do spent a lot of time outside when I am home. He goes out some in the morning, noon, then for quite a while in the evening. He really uses his nose and smells everything. The squirrels around the house are pretty wild so he has not got to chase any yet, but he has trailed them to the tree they climbed. He is getting much more adventurous lately exploring everything he can. He can bark on command and is a fast learner.

Feists Are Guarding My Meadow
I have Tie, Lia, and CC Rider on Zip Lines. I think they will keep guard here and let me know when I have an intruder. Tie let me know this morning that this turtle was heading for my pond. I am hoping they will also run the deer out of my Meadow! I think they will. I will probably add more Zip Lines by next garden season.

What's This?
Jeremy Yates called giving an update on Zach Taylor. Zach is already barking on command and has chased a squirrel in the yard. Sounds like Jeremy has his little Feist starting out toward a good future. I love to hear about the pups when they leave Galla Creek. Keep me posted as I really want to know. Having my pups succeed is what I want most. Calls like Jeremy's just make my day!

Dutch Goes Home
The Ronnie Abels family came to take Dutch home today. Sean and Carla Abels took turns holding him which Dutch thought was great! Momma Abels was a little worried about the return 4 to 5 hour drive and the argument over whose turn it was to hold Dutch. Big Sister said she could solve the problem--she would hold him! I am sure Dutch wants to sit in a lap and not in a crate! One good thing about Galla Feists is most do not get car sick and love the ride!

Floyd's Gone South
Heath Thomas and his daughter Rayna drove 8 hours to get here to get Pretty Boy Floyd--out of Lia and Ole Dan. Floyd is named for his Grandfather, Lia's sire. Heath and Rayna brought us a mess of fingerling Catfish that Heath and his Dad caught on Catawba worms in the Pearl River! We are having them for supper tonight.

Pris, Madison, and Honest Abe
Scott Dees and his sons Zach and Cody Mack plus his daughter Logan came today to pick up three Galla Feists for his family and their friends. Jennifer Dees co piloted the trip. It was a joy to meet the Dees family. Can't wait to see how Pris, Honest Abe and Dolly Madison turn out. The Dees family promised pictures and we are holding them to their promise! Thanks to the Dees family from Galla Creek!
Cody Mack's big brother Zach helps little brother hold Honest Abe. Abe is going to the Robert Clark family--they already have an awesome squirrel dog from Galla Creek--Hazel--out of Carolina Crossfire and Spud!

Allis
Allis has been around and had several owners--but she is back where she was born. Rev. James Lybrand is going to start driving a big semi and he needed a place for Allis. She is out of Dobs and Shooter and she is right back where she started from. She is a littermate to Tie, McCormack, and J. I. Case. James said she was a great little squirrel dog. He said the best thing about her is when you shoot the squirrel off in a ravine she will bring it right to your truck.
