Patsy Montana~Singing!
Rodney Porter sent us new photos of
Patsy Montana. First she was singing
at his wife's cat...but now she is
singing at all the squirrels. Patsy
is out of a daughter of Nogo Nell and
Amos Moses. She has the look of the Old-
Time Mountain Feist, as Nogo Nell was a
daughter of Old Rowdy.

Snickers
Craig Adams sent this update on Snickers.
Snickers is out of All Cranked Up and Spud.
She is trailing a scent and looking good.
here is part of Craig's email:
I had Snickers in the back yard this afternoon and thought I would see how her nose would work. I made a drag on the ground about 20 feet long and then pulled it up in the tree about 4 feet; I played with her over that way and when she got a nose full off she went. Guess that nose is pretty strong, cause when she got up on that tree that made my day. lol I petted her up real good. I might have fainted if she had of barked. well i'll quite bragging on her.lol Thanks again, Craig

Snickers
Craig Adams sent pictures of Snickers and
we are so pleased with how she is looking.
I think his son may have taken her for his
dog....looks like it, doesn't it!
From Craig-- I hope these pictures get to you. If they dont make it just let me know i will try again, anyway 2 of them are of snickers with my son. She has her spot she likes to lay either on the quilt are in my sons lap, either place she no problem taking a nap. The other 2 pictures are of my male pup Rudy. He will be a year old august 1st. If there is water around Rudy's gonna take a swim.

Lucas Parks and Hawkins
Sq. Dog Central had an essay contest about
squirrel hunting. The winner was to receive a
pup of his choice and Lonetree was going to
buy him the pup. We were thrilled that Lucas
Parks won and wanted a pup from Galla Creek.
We donated the pup and he is going to have the
money to help with the feed and care of his Feist.
Today I met Lucas Parks' family at Harrison, Ar. He claimed
his pup and I loaned him Belle Starr (my old Mt. Feist that
stays in the house) to assist him and Hawk in their
squirrel hunting. I am anxious to hear how their
hunts go and hope Lucas will write another story
about hunting with an old Feist and hisyoung pup.
Lucas sister's are Allison and Lauren.
Lauren (the younger sister) said "I really like Hawk".
And Hawk loved all of them. Belle seemed excited
like she was going on a vacation!

Lia and Spud~6 pups~July 9
Lia and Spud have litter of 6 pups--3 females
and 3 males. Lia is the best momma of all the
dogs I have. Today we took the litter to the
vet and he docked the tails and removed the
dew claws. I don't mind docking the tails that
much but I don't have the blood stop stick for
the dew claws and some of these pups had double
dew claws. Grandpa always said that made them
double good dogs.

Raider/Daisy Pup to Missouri
Wade came this morning and picked
up his pup from Daisy and Raider.
His Dad and Mom from Little Rock
came along to see the dogs. Wade
lives in Missouri. We are holding
him to his promise of sending photos
back of Mellie. The motto of Missourians
is show me and we hope he will
show us photos of Mellie as she matures.

Intruder
Today an intruder ventured into my yard on Galla Creek. The Kennel dogs really were upset. I can pick out the barks. Dobs is a high pitch. Stuart's is deep. The first Kennel has Stuart; then All Cranked up is in the next one; then Jim E Sue, Dobs, Shammy, Opal and Bonnie Sue. Bonnie Sue is like her mother, Spook, she is not wasting her breath when she is in the Kennel. Spook is in the same Kennel as Stuart and I doubt she ever stepped out. Let Bonnie or Spook out and you will see them go....and bark.

Carolina Crossfire
Carolina is out of Charlie Cross' Brownie.
She is from as far east Tennessee as you can
get. Her mother's ancestors came to Tennessee
from North Carolina. I named her in honor of
Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox. He would get
the Red Coats in a crossfire in the Rev. War.
He fought like the Cherokees. Carolina is a
very nice little benchlegged Mountain Feist.
Benchlegged refers to the way her front legs
are formed. Looks like she is standing over
a bench from the front like an Old English
Bulldog. I have bred Carolina to Spud, but I
do not think the breeding took.
