Days are slow on Galla!
Days go by at a slow pace on Galla in the
summer. My homemade rod holder is
keeping the rod in the water and the little
bell reminds me when a fish is tryin' my bait.
Astrid, Ingrid or Sigrid often bring me a
cool drink by the water. We are blessed on
Galla with family, dogs, squirrels and give
praise to the Lord above for these slow days
when we can ponder creation and why we were
put here on the earth. Surely, the Lord wants
us to squirrel hunt in the winter, fish on
warmer days, and cherish those dear to us daily!
I praise his name today!

Looking Back At You!
I found this picture in an old folder. It is Tia's
pups, the sire was Romeo. Astrid was pretending
to take photos as I snapped ones of her and the
puppies. It was 3 summers past. Time flies.
We keep a file now where all the Galla pups go.
But I remember the little black/white pup went
to a game warden in Florida, her name was Sallie.

Forever Friends!!
Jeanne moved to AR and from TX. That alone
shows how special she is. She knows that bigger
is not always better. She and her husband met
a good friend in John Henry Harrison. John lost
his female Feist. She was old and also had a
thyroid problem. Jeanne found Galla Creek
on the internet and contacted us about getting
a new girl for John and a new treeing friend for
his other male Feist, Petey. Yesterday John
met Annie. He had borrowed a pet carrier from
Jeanne for Annie to ride home in...Annie took her
place on the seat next to John. The pet carrier
stayed in the back of his truck. John & Annie--

Bonnie Sue Parker!
of Roark in LA, we have noticed she's slowly
coming out of a shell. Life was bleak living on a chain
with little shelter--not able to roam free and tree
squirrels in the woods. So we have let her roam and
the old Bonnie Sue is coming back. Yesterday, she
treed 3 times. We want to let her stay out of a kennel
a little longer so she can come to know and trust us,
but she is going to be a dandy. She and Radio Flyer
will make a good cross.
Bonnie Sue--where are you?
On Galla Creek
And lovin' it, too!

Texas Tenna!
(Carolina/Spud) from Texas. He said she was
adjusting to her home and was settling in great.
We plan to bred Carolina to Spud next time so
hopefully we can keep a pup. How many pups
a female has is an inheritied trait. Carolina only
has 4 to 5 pups. Spook's line 5 to 6. The Old
Rowdy line has 7 to 8 in a litter. The male a dog
is bred to does not seem to change the number of
pups a female has. How many eggs she produces
sets the number of offspring!

Bonnie Sue Parker
Bonnie Sue Parker is home on Galla Creek.
She acted like she remembered beinghere.
We sold her to a couple in LA when she was
less than a year old. They split up and Bonnie
was shifted from place to place. She ended up
where they had too many dogs and too little
time. We are glad to have her home again.
Bonnie is a full sister same litter to Nelson
and Floyd. She is a sister to Spud and Sparky
but an earlier litter. Bonnie turned 3 in May.
Thanks to Steve Roark for helping her come
home.

Galla Creek Hazel!
her new name is Hazel. We have always liked
that name and even thought of naming a pup
with that tag. Our pups are registered NKC
and new owners can change their names. They
keep the same reg. number so it does nothing to
their registration.
Hazel is a half sister to our little Brown Sugar.
I know she is going to have a good home and good
friends with the Robert Clark family. The Clarks
have owned Feists before. I am hoping this will be
the best one Mr. Clark has ever had. He said he
had Feists growing up and loves the breed.

Tia ~ Radio Flyer Pups
These are Dean Wright's pups from Tia and our Radio
Flyer. They are miracle pups. Dean and Barb took
Tia to the vet and had her xrayed to see if they were
going to have pups. Dean was concerned after driving
from Ohio to Arkansas and only doing one breeding.
Well, sadly the vet said no pups. So Barb cut back Tia's
food and took her off her vitamin supplement as she
kept gaining weight. When her due date came, she had
5 pups. Radio put his white mark on them. His litter of
pups with Spook produced all white pups and here he
has 4 white ones with only one marked like Tia. Tia has
a natural bob tail which is a recessive trait, but some of
the pups were born without a tail. Barb names the pups
after a theme. This time they chose trees. Their names
are: Hickory, Sugar Maple, Ohio Buckeye, Elmer and
Sycamore!
I wanted to post a photo of Bonnie Sue Parker, but can't
locate one so that will have to wait!

Sharing Pictures!
has a real good home. We wonder about our
former dogs and love getting the new pictures.
Recently, Steve Roark, owner of Nogo Nell and
Pretty Pearl, went to a dog broker in LA and
bought a former Galla Creek Dog for us. She
was in a place with lots of dogs. She is Bonnie
Sue Parker. We are so excited to get her home
again. I will post an old picture of her tomorrow.
Thanks to all of you who let us peek into the lives
of Galla Creek Feists.
Also, would like to say that we cherish all our
squirrel dog families!
